I am teaching a prenatal class. A customer just asked me if we are to avoid crossing the midline of the foot when fanning. I thought we potentially crossed over as we fan the wrinkles out. However, in the diagram in our stroke books it looks like maybe we are not supposed to cross the midline. She thought it might be uncomfortable to her baby to apply pressure at the midline of the foot. I am meeting back with her next Thursday evening so I would appreciate your feedback soon. Thank you.

class fee
It sounds like the class fee is very reasonable! Just be patient and let your best advertisement be the parents that you have taught. Word spreads quickly. Good luck!
fanning of the foot
You had a question about the foot and massage. The foot loves to be massaged, so whether you fan out from the midline specific, or even cross your thumbs over the midline in a alternating type stroke, I don't think it is in "stone". What feels good to the baby and what feels right to the massager. The goal is to apply some pressure to the sole of the foot to activate the reflexes. Always done with a loving touch, and don't forget to kiss toes while you are doing it! Hope that helps, Diana
class fee
I am working through the hospital as a childbirth educator. The hospital pays me an hourly rate and charges the customers a $25 fee for two 2-hour sessions. The hospital has purchased all of my supplies as well. It has been a tremendous blessing, however, it is slow getting started. We are marketing fairly well I think but just hoping for more customers. Hope your experience is as blessed as mine!
