Infant has been a huge success at our hospital. We have just recently initiated our palliative care program and infant massage is one of the services we offer. We offer infant massage to all of the families but it has been most beneficial to the palliative care patients. Most of these patients are in and out of the hospital all of the time. The patients and parents really enjoy infant massage. One of our chronic patients is almost 2 years old and he loves it! he has been exposed to so much negative touch that he wouldn't let anyone touch him. Now that mom has been doing the massage he appears to be more relaxed and comfortable. Infant Massage has been a great addition to the services we offer at our hospital. We have many great plans for the future with infant massage.
