Dear Diana,
I would like to say how much I enjoyed this whole process, the information I gained from the books and the course as well as the interaction with families in the teaching of Infant Massage. Working as a Physical Therapist in an EI (Early Intervention) Program I am always teaching parents different techniques, positions that are good fro their children to be in, range of motion and stretching exercises, etc. Some of these activities are not always within the child's comfort zone as they may be difficult for them due to discomfort (as in the prone position for some infants), weakness, and muscle tightness and son on, and with my guidance parents and their children gradually become more comfortable with these exercise and activities. Infant Massage is something that I can teach parents that I work with that is such a powerful bonding mechanism for parent and child, such a positive experience for both that they can look forward to doing together from the start. For families who have had some difficulties at birth or after and have been through so much it is so rewarding to see the positive response thy and their babies have and to watch their enjoyment and interactions during the massage. I really enjoy being a part of offering them this opportunity. In closing I would like to thank-you for teaching such a quality course that was so informative and enjoyable. You really did a great job and your enthusiasm for Infant Massage was evident and contagious.
