- About Me
Gretchen worked in the film & television industry as a Commercial Producer for over a decade, but it was during her first pregnancy that she decided that she wanted to put her skills to use for a higher purpose. What she learned during this time not only propelled her toward the beautiful home birth of her daughter, but toward a career supporting and educating new and expectant families. She teaches classes in Infant Massage Instruction, Childbirth Education, Baby Basics and Baby Wearing. Along with leading new parent support groups, she also mentors privately and is a life coach.
In 2007, fueled by her belief that all people should have the opportunity to choose an alternative natural approach to their families’ health care, Gretchen founded The Sanctuary New Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization designed to improve the health of expectant and new families in the under-served communities of Los Angeles County. In providing more families these choices, Gretchen hopes to advance the ethical and sustainable development of alternatives to standard care.
