Massage therapy has always been my passion: from buying my first reflexology book when I was in fifth grade, to witnessing the effects that touch therapy had on infants and children at an orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia, to dabbling in weekend “Intro to Massage Therapy” courses offered locally.
After growing up in Buffalo, NY, I moved to Boston where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Boston University School of Management. During my time at BU, I also developed a love of accounting (an unlikely pairing with massage) and teaching. I was hired by the university as an undergraduate teaching assistant where I taught courses each week on business and ethics to the incoming freshmen and transfer students for three years.
I graduated summa cum laude from Boston University, obtained my Certified Public Accountant license, and went on to work for one of the largest public accounting firms in the world for the next several years. However, my passion for massage therapy never went away.
Fate stepped in and introduced me to the Cortiva Institute- Florida where I graduated with Academic Excellence and had my own outcall practice in Tampa, FL for several years. In early 2011 my life took another turn and my family relocated to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. I recently completed my certification as an Infant Massage Instructor through the Loving Touch Foundation and hope to bring infant massage to the orphaned children of the D.R.
It's amazing how things have come full-circle for me from the Bolivian orphanage until now. I couldn't have planned all the twists and turns my life has taken if I tried! I am so fulfilled by my career and honored to bring touch therapy to others.
