Jody is excited to teach the benifits and techniques of Infant Massage to parents and caregivers. She feels that all parents should have the opportunity to experience the bonding that comes from Loving Touch. She is passionate about reaching all children, so that they can receive the many benefits of Infant Massage. Jody is skilled at teaching how to adapt the techniques to meet the needs of all babies.
Jody has been working with children with special needs as an occupational therapist for 30 years through the early intervention system in the children's homes, through the the public school system, in clinics and in hospitals. Her specialty is children under three years of age, using many approaches including cranial sacral therapy, neurodevelopmental treatment and sensory integration. She uses an inclusive style, having parents and caregivers be a part of the therapy process by teaching them techniques and activities that they can use with their children on a daily basis. It is only natural for her to add Infant Massage Instructor to her resume, where she can combine her teaching skills with her therapeutic expertise to teach parents the techniques and benefits of massage.
