- About Me
Lisa is a graduate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2001, and has since provided treatment for children in the school, clinic, and home-based settings. Lisa has studied child development through various continuing education courses and specializes in play therapy, sensory concerns and handwriting difficulties. She has been trained in the Handwriting Without Tears program and instructs groups as well as on an individual basis.
Lisa received her certification for Infant Massage in 2006 through The International Loving Touch Foundation. She has provided infant massage instruction to both new and experienced mothers and fathers on an individual and group basis. In April of 2008, she had the pleasure of teaching underprivileged teenage mothers infant massage at an educational retreat sponsored by SNAP Long Island. In July of 2008, she spoke about the benefits of infant massage at Viacord’s Ultimate Baby Shower. Lisa has also instructed the art of infant massage during prenatal education seminars. She is also a memeber of the Long Island Doula Association.
